Kaip religijos galva, šventyklas tvarkyti jis patiki žyniams. Faraonui priklauso visos žemės, išskyrus tas, kurias jis perleidžia šventykloms, ir tas, kurias padovanoja aukštiems valdininkams ar kariškiams.
